"In the end, I've come to believe in something I call "The Physics of the Quest." A force in nature governed by laws as real as the laws of gravity. The rule of Quest Physics goes something like this: If you're brave enough to leave behind everything familiar and comforting, which can be anything from your house to bitter, old resentments, and set out on a truth-seeking journey, either externally or internally, and if you are truly willing to regard everything that happens to you on that journey as a clue and if you accept everyone you meet along the way as a teacher and if you are prepared, most of all, to face and forgive some very difficult realities about yourself, then the truth will not be withheld from you" - Eat Pray Love

Our Quest

Stop #1 Madrid, Spain

Madrid is the capital of Spain, located almost directly in the center of the Iberian Peninsula.  The entire population of the Madrid area is estimated around 5.8 million. It is ranked as one of the best cities in Europe, and is the third largest in the EU. Madrid is home to great shopping, wonderful museums, fantastic tapas bars, and unbelievable views and sight-seeing.

Stop #2: Sevilla, Spain

Sevilla is our longest stop along the way, of course, because we are studying here for 6 weeks. Sevilla is located in the Andalusia region of Spain, near the southern coastline. Sevilla is the artistic, cultural, and economic capitol of southern Spain. The population of Sevilla is slightly over 700,000 giving it a smaller city charm. I can definitely see myself living here again when I hopefully return to Spain.

Stop #3: Cordoba

Cordoba was our first trip with the program, located around an hour from Sevilla. Cordoba is home to the Mezquite-Catedral or Mosque Cathedral, built in the 700s when Spain was under Muslim rule. The mosque was then converted into a cathedral when Ferdinand conquered Cordoba. The small city surrounding the incredible mosque is quaint and beautiful, while the mosque/cathedral itself is undoubtedly breathtaking.

Stop #4: Granada
Granada was our second trip through the program. Located in southeast Spain, is home to the third most visited monument in the world, the Alhambra, and a prestigious university. Granada is an amazing town with great shopping, nightlife, and beautiful views due to its location in the foot hills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The Alhambra is spectacular, a definite must see. Granada is definitely a contender for a potential place to live when I come back to Spain.

 Stop #5: Lagos, Portugal

Lagos is located on the very southern tip of Portugal in the Algarve region. It is home to fabulous beaches, an amazing atmosphere, and an incredible yet crazy nightlife. The majority of the people living in Lagos are actually not from Portugal however. Many are from Australia, Canada, and England. We met some amazing people there and I had one of the best weekends of my life.

Stop #6: Malaga, Spain

Malaga is located on the east coast of Spain, in the Mediterranean sea. It is an absolutely beautiful city, with a marble tiled city center and gorgeous dark sand beaches. We enjoyed some great sight seeing, sangria, and a couple nights out. I would definitely recommend Malaga for a nice beach trip.
